Bolt Gauges

These strain gauges are installed in a hole drilled within the shank of a bolt, to measure the axial strain experienced by the bolt under tension. For accurate strain measurement the bolt requires calibration using a tensile test once the gauge is installed. Other types of bolt gauges are available – these versions available on-line can be installed very quickly using CN adhesive.
