Choose your extension leadwire depending on environmental considerations such as temperature, electromagnetic or chemical content, and also the leadwire length – select a lower resistance leadwire for longer cable run requirements to maximise measurement sensitivity. The solder terminals are selected depending on the temperature and the size of your gauge / specimen – you will need a steady hand when soldering to the smallest -2SS terminals!
